Where’s Mitch? Rejecting our calls for a special prosecutor

Kentucky’s own Senator Mitch McConnell took to the Senate floor on May 10 to reject the idea of calling a special prosecutor or a special committee to investigate connections between Trump’s associates and the Russian government and of possible interference in the 2016 general election. 

“Today we’ll no doubt hear calls for a new investigation, which could only serve to impede the current work being done,” said McConnell in response to the surprise firing of FBI Director James Comey. [See story in Politico for more details.]

It’s time for all of us to make calls to our Members of Congress, including McConnell, to demand that they support an independent, bipartisan, and unbiased investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election. Talking points and scripts are available to help you make the case.
