PROTEST AND “DIE-IN” TO SAVE HEALTH CARE

Join us on Monday, September 25th, from 5:30-6:30pm, outside Senator Paul’s office at the Mazzoli Federal Building, on S. 6th Street, in Louisville, Ky, when we tell our senators in no uncertain terms: “Do NOT Take Away Our Care!”

Do we really have to do this again? Do we really, again, have to beg our elected Senators not to kill us? That’s right folks, Trumpcare is back!

Republican Senators Lindsey Graham, Bill Cassidy, Dean Heller, and Ron Johnson have introduced a new bill that would repeal the Affordable Care Act and take away healthcare from tens of millions of Americans. That’s why our Republican senators need to hear from their constituents today—and every day—until this bill is defeated.

That’s why, on Monday, September 25th, IndivisibleKY members and allies will hold a protest “die-in” near Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell’s office buildings to tell them in no uncertain terms: “Do NOT take away our care!”

This bill is even worse than the ones before. Not only are they trying again to kick up to 30 million Americans off of their health care, they’re now trying to end protections for pre-existing conditions as well and completely dismantle Medicaid.

We know what it looks like when we allow insurance companies to make these decisions based on people’s medical history; that’s how things were before the Affordable Care Act. We have to stop it now—which means repeating what stopped the first and second ACA repeal attempts: a whirlwind of constituent pressure on Republican senators.

Bring your “tombstone” signs and make sure they know how we feel about this bill.
