Join us this Tuesday, February 14, 2017 as we gather outside Senator Mitch McConnell’s office to show our love. The rally will take place in front of 601 West Broadway in Louisville during lunch on Tuesday beginning at 11:30 AM.
This week’s theme is “Louisville Loves!”
In honor of Valentine’s Day, those attending the rally will show their love for all the things that make this country so great and worth fighting for from checks and balances and the Bill of Rights to cultural diversity and welcoming shores.
“On Tuesday, we will come together to express our love for our country explicitly,” said Reverend Dawn Cooley, the Indivisible Kentucky co-founder hosting the rally. “Everything we’ve been doing and will continue to do is rooted in that love, but Valentine’s Day seems like a good time to make that love and patriotism explicit.”
Indivisible Kentucky will be be handing out Valentines at Tuesday’s event so everyone can express their love for the country, for the Constitution, for the contributions of immigrants and refugees, for the Judicial branch, and more.
We’ll bring the Valentines, but please bring your posters and signs showing your love for everything that makes this country great. In addition to chanting and singing, the rally will also feature a selection of speakers beginning at 11:30 AM.
